Angel is trained in EMDR therapy which aids clients in reprocessing traumatic events from the past, helping individuals to become free from overwhelming distressing feelings and emotions. Angel utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques from modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Existential-Humanistic Therapy which helps individuals to identify and change unhealthy thought and behavior patterns in order to live more congruently with their wants and values. These methods help clients to explore new ways to thinking, behaving, and managing difficult situations that promote self-empowerment. In session, Angel focuses on mindfulness exercises such as guided visual mediations, breathing exercises, bilateral stimulation, grounding techniques to help client to achieve these goals. This approach supports clients to feel increased confidence and faith in themselves to navigate difficult situations while decreasing overall stress, anxiety, and depression.
Angel's style is exploratory, empowering, and empathic. When clients first start therapy, she works collaboratively with the client to create an environment where it feels safe face current challenges while being validated and supported.
Angel received their MA from University of Central Florida She has worked within an array of therapeutic locations, helping clients diverse backgrounds and challenges from addiction, grief, trauma, and adjustment to life transitions. Outside of private practice, she spending time outdoors, reading, and crafting. She offer both in person and virtual sessions based on client preference
