Professional statement

Angelica Garcia Khorashadi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Davis, CA.

Angelica provides thoughtful, eclectic psychotherapy for individuals and couples. She specializes in helping couples grow their healthy attachment to each other and resolve conflict through the development of a closer bond. She also supports clients who suffer from depression as well as those experiencing pregnancy or postpartum emotional difficulties.

Angelica believes that one of the most important parts of the therapy journey is the connection between the therapist and the client. Within this relationship, clients learn healthy relationship behaviors and how to be introspective about their emotions. Angelica builds strong rapport with clients by listening with compassion. She really cares about each of her clients and believes in their innate strengths. She encourages clients to bring their attention to their thought patterns and behavior habits, changing these patterns if necessary.

Angelica empowers clients to grow their connection to self and others by accepting and loving themselves. Angelica earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento. She practices culturally-competent care and is intentional about providing inclusive care for clients of all backgrounds. She creates a warm, comfortable, safe atmosphere in which clients share their feelings and process through difficult emotions.

Message to clients

Central to the therapeutic process is the connection between me and my clients. Therefore, I strive to understand the needs, desires and goals of my clients and seek to provide a safe, supportive, encouraging and respectful environment from which to explore, learn and change. I believe it is vital to work collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve a better sense of self which may lead to greater happiness and well-being.

My eclectic psychotherapy practice is offered for adults and couples. I will support the journey of therapy utilizing the best treatment approach to assist each individual in their process of self discovery. It is important to me to make this a comfortable experience in order to allow free expression.

My sessions are 5o minutes in length. I would be happy to discuss your treatment needs and explore if I can assist you on your journey.
