Professional statement

Anna Dillingham is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor located in Providence, RI. Anna is passionate about helping young adults and adults of all ages face life’s challenges, and move through loss and change with more acceptance and ease. Many of Anna’s clients find that past experiences and conditioning seem to be holding them back from their goals and the life they want to live. They may feel a sense of worthlessness and shame related to past traumatic experiences, which can lead to challenges in their relationships and at school or work.

Anna is a supportive and compassionate therapist, who assists clients in reflecting on their lives in a way that promotes self-acceptance. Anna is certified in a therapy approach called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is an evidence-based method of overcoming trauma reactions. EMDR is a trauma-focused approach which engages both body and mind in strategies for calming the nervous system and moving past mental/emotional blocks. This approach can support clients in freeing themselves from past trauma and living more fully in the present. She also helps clients integrate the many competing aspects of their lives using mindfulness techniques and principles of Internal Family Systems therapy, a modality that fosters a compassionate, accepting connection with yourself.

Anna earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She has nearly 10 years of experience supporting individuals, having helped numerous clients overcome challenges and live authentic lives along the way.

Therapist's note

Is your insurance provider not on my listed of accepted providers?

I can help verify if you have out-of-network (OON) benefits. I use a billing service that automatically submits super bills for OON services to your insurance provider, and allows you to pay only your co-insurance for my sessions. This could save you on average 70% on my full rate every session.

Ask to verify if you have out-of-network benefits before your first session!
