Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHCShe/Her/Hers
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHCAnna Filipski is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor located in Orlando, FL. Anna enjoys supporting women who no longer want to put their mental health and wellbeing on the backburner. Many of Anna’s clients seek greater understanding of who they are, what emotions they’re experiencing, and how they can feel better. Sometimes, their responsibilities in the home or at work have hindered their focus on themselves, leaving them burnt out and frustrated. Anna helps her clients break down the roadblocks to their own feelings of fulfillment and establish a lifestyle that suits them.
Anna’s approach to working with her clients includes teaching them how to identify their feelings, which may be the result of previous trauma. These feelings might include anxiety, sadness, boredom, loneliness, frustration, disappointment, and more. Anna encourages clients to recognize not only the emotions they feel in their hearts and minds, but also in their bodies. She takes a holistic approach to healing that strengthens the mind-body connection. She also teaches clients how to adapt their lives to fit closer to their innate values through a therapy modality called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is a trauma-informed therapist who strives to offer each client a sense of safety in their session, so they can feel comfortable opening up about what’s happening internally for them.
Anna earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida. She has advanced training in Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems therapy, and trauma. Over the past 20 years, Anna has supported countless individuals to make better sense of their lives and to reach their goals.
