Dr. Anna Huff is a trauma-informed, clinical psychologist practicing in New York and Connecticut. She specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), helping individuals process and heal from traumatic or difficult life experiences. EMDR activates an individual’s innate capacity to heal and aids in processing distressing memories, negative beliefs, and overwhelming emotions. Through this approach, Dr. Huff collaborates with you to reframe experiences, foster resilience, and build self-compassion.
Choosing the right psychologist is a crucial step toward healing and self-discovery. Dr. Huff creates a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely express yourself. With expertise in trauma, anxiety, depression, work-related stress, and life transitions, she is dedicated to connecting with individuals and helping them reach their goals. She understands that each individual’s experiences are unique, which is why treatment is tailored specifically for you. Her therapeutic approach helps to adapt and/or release attachments - be they to belief systems, thought and emotional patterns, or relational tendencies - and to guide awareness, insights, and actionable changes to empower you to construct and lead a life that aligns with your authentic self. In sessions, she works from the framework that dis-ease does not want to be maintained, it wants to be released and resolved. Through this release, individuals can connect with themselves, finding freedom and ease.
Dr. Huff holds a PhD in Clinical Forensic Psychology with a concentration in Victimology. She also holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Behavior. She received additional training in EMDR, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Thought Field Therapy (TFT). Schedule your initial consultation today to move forward on your journey for healing and growth. Dr. Huff is an LGBTQ+ ally. All are welcome.
