Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSWAnna King has been working alongside people on their path to healing for almost ten years, and she has found that by meeting people exactly where they are at and for who they truly are, the healing can be both rewarding and groundbreaking. Anna is a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in social work from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is a US Army combat veteran and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. Anna is a trauma-informed, patient-centered therapist, trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, and she also utilizes trauma-centered and mindfulness approaches.
Anna has worked with individuals from very diverse backgrounds, abilities, orientations, cultures, and personal beliefs, and each person's life experiences are a part of their healing process. While working with her, the goals that you want to work on will be at the center of your time together.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Panic attacks / panic disorder - Brief, intense periods of overwhelming fear or anxiety
Performance anxiety - Underperforming, due exclusively to anxiety
Social anxiety - Helping clients increase confidence and ability to interact with others amidst fear of being judged, worry about embarrassment, or concern about offending others
Climate anxiety - Coping with the unique stress created by climate change, including managing any overwhelming feelings of impending disaster and finding outlets for advocacy
Worry - Learning how worry shows up in one’s life and exploring how worry impacts daily life, relationships, and wellbeing; developing coping skills to mitigate the impacts of worry
