She/Her/Hers
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHCI am currently offering in-person therapy in Downtown Brooklyn, as well as online sessions.
Anneka Werner-Gavrin is a psychotherapist in Brooklyn, NY. She works with adults of all ages who are experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, depression and traumatic stress, both big and small. She has expertise in working with people who have experienced childhood trauma, such as neglect, emotional and/or physical abuse. Many of her clients seek out therapy when they find that the trauma of their past is interfering with their ability to fully show up in their present.
Anneka works from an integrative approach and has training in AEDP, Hakomi and IFS. She uses these insight, emotion and somatic focused modalities to guide her work. The combination of mind and body work helps her client’s gain depth in awareness of how and why their whole selves are responding and reacting to their current situations, while also supporting them in integrating concrete tools they can use immediately to face the day-to-day challenges. This approach supports clients in feeling less alone, more hopeful, and better able to connect to themselves and their loved ones.
Anneka’s office is in Downtown Brooklyn but she also sees clients through teletherapy. She strives to provide a safe and supportive environment for each of her clients, free of judgement or fear of rejection.
