Annette Hyslop, LCPC is a counselor licensed in Maryland and West Virginia. Annette's ideal clients are women who wish to incorporate their Christian faith and values into therapy and would like to work on growing spiritually as well as emotionally and who wish to set goals and ease into new transitions of life while being led spiritually. Annette also uses creativity to help uncover unconscious beliefs and helps clients to work on uncovering cognitive distortions through creativity This is a powerful modality and becomes a part of the clients life as Annette teaches art techniques to help her clients relax and work on alleviating stress in their lives. Annette has a bachelors degree in leadership and ministry and a masters degree in professional counseling. She has a strong desire to see women mature spiritually and to find their God given purpose, as she believes that this leads to greater fulfillment and happiness in life. Annette has also served as a chaplain at a mental health facility providing spiritual direction to those in need. Annette's clients are seen via telehealth typically, which help the client feel more relaxed in their own space. Telehealth allows clients not only to be relaxed in the comfort of their own home but also saves time for commuting.
