Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsAnya Levendosky is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and is the Primary Therapist at Ariel Wallins Therapy Group and is licensed in New York and New Jersey, an individualized group therapy practice specializing in trauma and OCD. Anya’s particular clinical expertise is in working with adolescents and adults on topics related to anxiety, depression, relationships, and life transitions.
Therapy with Anya is collaborative and evidence-based; her goal is to help guide clients as they navigate their place in the world and their relationships with others. To this end, she utilizes the skills-based approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), which encourages clients to recognize cognitive distortions that may lead to harmful self-criticism or negative self-talk. Anya also integrates mindfulness into her work with clients, encouraging them to practice being present in the moment and integrating the mind-body connection in the healing process.
Anya received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Wheaton College and her Master’s of Social Work degree from the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work in 2017. She has since worked in diverse roles, including as a psychiatric inpatient social worker and as the Program Director for a non-profit organization addressing homelessness in NYC. These experiences have provided Anya with a unique perspective and passion for person-centered and high-quality mental health care that she brings to her current work with clients.
