Professional statement

Aryanna is a holistic therapist based in New York City. Many of her clients come in when they are adjusting to life transitions, feeling stuck in their work life, experiencing concerns in their relationships, or wanting to explore their identity and sense of self.

In sessions, she incorporates mindfulness and self-compassion to build awareness and skills for self-care practices, work-life balance, and mind-body connection. She is particularly passionate about working with women to explore the roots of who they are, while supporting them to feel present and authentically themselves.

Her work as a therapist is centered around providing a collaborative, supportive and nonjudgmental space for clients to arrive as they are. She strives to foster a therapeutic relationship that feels transparent, honest, and open. Her hope for clients is that through their work together they experience easeful personal growth that will empower them to move forward in life in a way that aligns with their values.

Aryanna received her Ed.M. in Mental Health Counseling and MA in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and has a BA in Journalism and Art from Northeastern University. Aryanna has worked in residential settings with adolescent girls in acute treatment, and with women managing eating disorders. She also has experience working in private practice.

Message to clients

Sometimes all we need is space to pause and reflect on our needs, a moment to detangle our experiences and care for ourselves. If you’ve been adjusting to recent changes in your life, reassessing your career, or searching for a deeper sense of connection in your relationships and with yourself, I want to encourage you for taking this step for your wellbeing. I’m a holistic therapist that works with women to explore the roots of who they are, while supporting them to feel present and authentically themselves.

My approach considers the whole person and integrates mindfulness and self-compassion to build awareness and skills for self-care practices, work-life balance, and mind-body connection. I have a background as a yoga teacher and strive to foster a collaborative environment that feels similar to a class: open, attentive, and healing. My hope is that through our work, you will experience easeful personal growth that will empower you to move forward in life in a way that aligns with your values.
