Ashley Kansinally is passionate about working with pregnant women, postpartum women and women in general. She identifies as a black woman and understands the nuances that come with both of those identities, together and separately. She also knows that the transition to motherhood can be very difficult, challenging and lonely for many women. Ashley has taken advanced training in perinatal mental health by PESI in order to properly be able to provide services to pregnant and postpartum women and help them cope with this life transition.
Ashley’s treatment style is holistic, direct and compassionate. She is very understanding but will also hold you accountable. She will ask you what goals you want to work on and figure out the best plan to help you achieve them. Her main therapeutic approach is CBT but she will also use meditation, yoga, talk therapy, journaling, narration and more to help you achieve your goals.
She provides therapy virtually or online so that you don’t have to worry about getting dressed, packing up the baby or going anywhere. She will meet with you in the comfort of your own home using whatever technology you already have on hand. When Ashley is not providing therapy you can catch her teaching group fitness classes, whining to soca music or in her garden.
Ashley’s practice also has another therapist who is a Reiki Master and a doula who is also passionate about working with women! Schedule a free consultation today so that we can help you start getting back to you as soon as possible.
