Ashley earned her Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She made her way to NYC to further her training and obtained her Masters in Social Work at New York University. She has experience working with clients with neurological, psychological, and developmental disorders in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings. Her field learning background is comprehensive and includes psychotherapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. Ashley has sought to immerse herself within diverse communities to develop a better understanding of cultural, social, and personal development. Ashley’s empathic and warm nature helps foster a positive and fulfilling client-therapist relationship, while empowering her clients to create meaningful change in both their relationships and lives.
Ashley uses her creativity and warmth to meet the social-emotional needs of others. She is communicative and personable, with a strong understanding of the power of person-centered care. She uses a strengths-based approach and integrates skills from her trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness to develop individualized treatment plans and goals.
