It can be tough navigating life’s challenges and even joys, when the world around us isn’t always as affirming or welcoming as we might hope. If you have been experiencing difficulties enjoying life because of high stress and anxiety, therapy can help. Bec works with people who feel stuck, worried, and uncertain of how to find a path forward after life challenges.
With 10 years of field experience as a social worker and counselor, Bec has supported the LGBTQ+ community, personal caregivers, survivors of sexual harm and domestic violence, and other folks recovering from traumatic life events. Through their diverse therapeutic work background, they have learned to tailor therapy to each individual to build resilience, enhance self-esteem and self-love, and develop healthy coping skills.
As an LGBTQ+ person, it’s not uncommon to experience anxiety, depression, and trauma from adverse lived experiences of being queer in unaccepting environments. As a queer and nonbinary person themself, Bec has a first-hand understanding of the unique challenges faced when exploring our identities, but they are also familiar with the rewarding feelings that can come through that journey.
Bec specializes in supporting individuals that are navigating identity and seeking gender-affirming care. Their goal is to provide a welcoming, affirming, and safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. They are committed to empowering you to live a fulfilling and authentic life.
