She has several years experience working with those who struggle with the complex issues surrounding faith or religious crisis and transition, mainly but not limited to the LDS church or Mormonism. She also focuses on creating a safe place to work through traumas of all kinds, and working with those who struggle with relationships, codependency, and setting boundaries is also a specialty of hers.
Becky is a graduate of the University of Utah, and has worked for Salt Lake County drug court, as well as in private practice. Her private practice, Through the Woods Counseling, focuses on providing a place of healing and support for those who are struggling with life changes, relationship struggles, and for those who are looking for personal authenticity. She uses a psychoanalytic approach, and incorporates Narrative Therapy and EMDR for trauma work.
Becky currently offers in office in person sessions, with Covid precautions, as well as video sessions for anyone within the state of Utah. Her hours are generally 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Her office is conveniently located near the 4500 South exit of I-215.

Adjustment difficulties & disorders - Support around adapting to new and/or challenging life circumstances; skill-building for improved stress management and reduction of anxiety.
Attachment issues - Development of effective relational and communication skills; insight into family attachment patterns;fostering healthy family relationships.
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Women's issues - Therapy tailored to common concerns among women; providing a safe and understanding space to address life challenges, stressors, and questions around identity as a woman
Spirituality & religion - Exploring beliefs and practices related to meaning, existence, and spiritual health and healing; enjoying a deeper felt connection with the spiritual dimension of one's life
