Betsy Harris is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering Teleheath therapy in Tennessee. She specializes in mindfulness-based therapies and has been practicing mindfulness for over twenty-five years. She has completed many trainings abroad in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and in the US.
Betsy uses Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindfulness-Based Self Compassion (MBSC), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients. She has experience treating trauma as well. Over her twelve years as a practicing therapist, Betsy has seen improvement in her clients in a wide range of areas. Clients have seen improvements in their anxiety, self esteem, depression, social issues, phobias, lack of a sense of life direction, sleep, and more. Through teaching skills such as noticing and being with sensations, feelings, and thoughts, clients are able to notice the patterns that get us stuck. Those with trauma see reductions in their PTSD symptoms as well.
Together, we work on goals, gain insight, and develop healthier habits, keeping in mind that we often know what we need to do to change, but if we don’t take action, nothing will change. I offer a 10 minute free consult to explore how we might work together. I look forward to working with you and witnessing transformation and greater wellbeing.
