With over 9 years of clinical experience working with teens and adults recovering from trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, and substance, Dr. Prescott has worked in in various settings, including community based clinics, inpatient hospitals, residential programs, and hospitals, including Veterans Affairs Medical Centers. With a special interest in sexual trauma recovery, she completed a Rape Crisis Counselor Certification and later served as the Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 2.5 years. This remains a specialty area for Dr. Prescott, who treats trauma by first building safety and trust, while incorporating evidence based practices, such as Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
