Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSWHe/Him/His
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSWBrent Seegmiller is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in North Salt Lake, UT. Brent is passionate about providing adults and children with the tools they need to manage the sensory inputs of everyday life. Many of Brent’s clients find themselves overwhelmed by stimulation, triggers, or emotional and physical sensitivities. This can lead to low self-esteem, relationship conflicts, anxiety, or depression. Brent helps his clients adjust their routines and grow coping skills so they can live comfortably.
Brent’s approach to therapy draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in which he has additional training and certification. He creates a sense of safety and security in each therapy session to help clients open up and be vulnerable. He pays attention to the physical and emotional cues that show when a client is becoming overwhelmed and then helps that client work back towards a calm state. Brent also brings play therapy into session when appropriate, as it’s an effective way to connect with children. He does this in a warm, personable way that many clients find engaging.
Brent earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Edinboro. His goal is to help clients better understand themselves, from their feelings to physical sensations. He empowers clients to prioritize their mental health and to use their growth to better connect with those around them.
