Brett Schmeizer is a licensed clinical social worker in New York State. He works primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression and addiction. His other areas of focus are talk therapy and marital counseling.

Brett has 18+ years of working with adults who suffer from mental illness, as well as those who struggle with addiction. Throughout his career, he has become highly effective in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, while supervising other licensed therapists to help strengthen their professional growth. Brett also trained nursing staff on how to assist the homeless population during the 2022-2023 subway initiative, earning him the 2023 Distinguished Service Award.

Brett has earned a Bachelor Of Arts at Stony Brook University and a Master of Social Work at Adelphi University. He also co-wrote and co-researched a published article in the Journal of Psychosomatic Research.
