Imber is a licensed Psychologist in California with an office located in Encinitas, CA., and a licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State with an office located in Bellevue, WA. Dr. Imber offers clients who suffer the impacts of stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma the opportunity to find comfort in their daily lives. Many of Dr. Imber’s clients face major stress, which negatively influences their physical health. Dr. Imber ’s approach to therapy blends the practices of many evidence-based therapy modalities. He is a person-centered, strengths-based, humanist therapist, which means that he meets with clients without judgment and with unconditional positive regard and respect for their experience. He practices biofeedback therapy to help clients self-regulate their physical sensations, thoughts, and their emotions. This is especially helpful for individuals who previously experienced trauma. He also draws from Psychodynamic therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and individuals, Neurofeedback/Neurotherapies and Biofeedback therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and Virtual Reality Therapy
Dr. Imber has a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Applied Psychophysiology. He holds an MBA and board (BCIA) certifications in neurofeedback and biofeedback therapies. When appropriate, he includes virtual reality in treatment with clients. He has extensive experience working with clients on issues relating to relationships, business, education, arts, sports, and more.
