Brianna is trained as a Clinical Social Worker, licensed in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. She believes strongly that a therapeutic relationship is rooted in trust. Brianna's goal is to create a safe environment that allows your goals to be met. She incorporates multiple therapeutic techniques, but primarily uses Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. This allows her patients to learn how to live in the present, challenge negative thought patterns, and connect more deeply with themselves and others. If open to it, she will use guided meditation and breathing exercises to help you learn how to slow down your thoughts, connect with your breath, and settle into relaxation. Brianna believes that one of the most powerful tools we have is to just breathe...
Brianna has worked in a variety of settings including foster care, jails, community mental health centers, addiction recovery centers, detox facilities, and hospitals. This has allowed her to develop a wide range of skills and the ability to treat a diverse population, always with the focus of meeting the patient where they are. Brianna has treated complex trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, grief, personality disorders, and more. Brianna has a special interest in supporting mothers learning to navigate the role, along with supporting first responders and their families. She has personal experiences to draw upon.
Brianna is available to meet for in person sessions located in downtown Hanover, PA or virtually for those residing in Maryland or Pennsylvania.
