Professional statement

Bridget Aureli is client-centered and non-judgmental in her approach. Being client-centered includes developing goals based on the person who is healing and their preferences--not the agenda of the therapist. She has worked in several sectors which inform her approaches to counseling: education, career counseling, academic advising, and as a mother of five. Bridget completed her master’s degree in counseling at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, MA in 2020. Her lived experience and seminary education provide wisdom and insight. Bridget has experience counseling couples, groups, children, adolescents, and adults of many backgrounds including special needs, LGBTQ+, and veterans. She has compassion for the whole person including their culture, relationships, community, socioeconomic status, values, and unique biopsychosocial characteristics.

Message to clients

Everyone has life challenges. I have successfully worked with people dealing with complex issues such as grief, relationship struggles, economic pressures, depression, and many other stressors. My approach is trauma-informed—I see how past hurts affect the present. I will always listen to a person’s story and be open to approaches that have worked for them in the past. Your values, beliefs, and worldview are important and shape who you are. My approach is non-judgmental—I believe every person’s spiritual journey can be part of their healing if that is how they find wholeness. Spiritual abuse is prevalent and painful and should be addressed as trauma.
