Professional statement

Brigid is trained in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and is DBT- and EMDR-informed, with additional seminars in ACT. Her "real life" experience as the wife and daughter of First Responders gives her a unique perspective in working with this population. She continuously expands her cultural competence through seminars with the IAFF to better support First Responders.

Understanding that cumulative stress and trauma significantly affect well-being, Brigid focuses on hands-on coping skills and strategies to help working professionals and First Responders manage these challenges. Her approach is practical and empowering, involving clients in skill-building that allows them to address stress and trauma effectively, working toward productivity in sessions.

Message to clients

My approach is rooted in the mantra: meet people where they are, not where you wish them to be. This means I work alongside you, offering guidance that fits your current situation, without pressure or judgment. Whether we meet online or in person, my goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel understood and heard. Together, we’ll work on building practical coping strategies, addressing the stressors of your profession, circumstances or relationships, and navigating challenges together. I am committed to walking with you through the healing process, providing support that empowers you to move forward at your own pace.
