You don't need a worksheet. You need to be heard.
Therapy is a space for saying all the things you can’t say to anyone else. Together we sort through what works for you and what doesn't, what you want to keep and what you want to leave behind. It might feel like untangling a ball of yarn: it's all knotted up and in order to unravel it, all the individual pieces of string need to be carefully examined and pulled out. After pulling out lots of string, we get closer to making connections that you couldn’t see before.
Our life experiences and relationships have a strong influence on us, which is why I work psychodynamically from an attachment and relational theoretical perspective. It’s also important to me to keep in mind the ways that systems of power and privilege play a role in well-being.
Depression - The defeat, isolation, fogginess - these are all telling you something. We are here to listen deeply, attentively, with gentle curiosity.
Women's issues - Systemic privilege is real. And so is your power. It takes work to heal from the myriad of ways that sexism harms us, so that we can lean into our fierce potential.
Highly Sensitive Person - You're empathic, reflective, and intuitive. (And, spoiler alert: terribly depleted.) Our work together builds on these strengths while staying focused on rejuvenation.
Anxiety - Your over-active inner critic, incredible ability to make thorough (a.k.a. excruciating) decisions, and knee-jerk guilt have you asking, "Did I do it right? Have I done enough?" far too often to be helpful. Step by step, we slow it down to bring your sense of control back.
