Professional statement

Brook Bonnema has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 15 years. She provides therapy to teens and adults with a wide range of needs. Her approach is primarily cognitive behavioral with the use of a supportive, strengths-based perspective. She has served in the criminal justice system as well as held a small private practice. Her love of serving underprivileged populations is what has led to a passion to provide affordable, insurance accepted care. Through her work in the criminal justice system, she has been able to serve a wide range of presenting issues from severe and persistent mental illness, grief and loss, stress management, anger management, to more existential issues around life purpose and relationship building. No matter who she serves, she strives to provide a non-judgemental, caring, and hopeful approach to therapy. Brook conducts therapy virtually at this time and available in the evenings and weekends.
