Professional statement

Brooke Butler is an LMFT-A based in Austin, Texas. She works with individuals and couples with a focus on creating more secure attachment, and building lasting self confidence, and a sense of safety. Many of Brooke's clients have found success re-evaluating a toxic cycle in their relationship, building stronger bonds with loved ones, and finding strength within themselves to accomplish their goals. Brooke believes that subconscious beliefs about ourselves, and the world around us can cause us to sabotage our happiness in our lives, and relationships. That is why is is important to recognize the parts of us that are driving, and creating our current patterns.

Brooke is particularly sensitive to people who are in unfulfilling relationships and looking to strengthen themselves enough to create new boundaries with their partner. She believes that recognition of the ways in which you have made yourself smaller to fit into the relationship is the first step to creating new standards that your partner needs to meet in order for you both to feel loved and cared for. If you find yourself going after new love interests only to find yourself caught up in the same patterns you had in an old relationship, it might be time to address the attachment reasons why you are attracting the same kind of partner.

Brooke thrives when she can help her clients see just how strong and resilient they really are regardless of what they have been through, and what they are dealing with currently, She wants to hold your hand and be by your side while you rediscover yourself and find the happiness and fulfillment in life that you have always been craving.

Message to clients

Therapy is a space that is all for you. Each one of my clients is dear to me and I believe anyone who seeks a better understanding of themselves, and is willing to face painful things in order to achieve a better life, is so strong. I want to offer a peaceful, judgement free zone to be fully you and explore the version of you that you want to become. I am a client-centered therapist, which means that therapy will always be geared towards what you need as an individual, and it will always be a safe space to feel any and all of your emotions. I want you to feel safe to tell me if a certain therapy technique is not working for you, or if there is something you want to change.

My hope for you is that you can come into sessions knowing that someone who really cares for you is always there to support you on your journey to your highest good. Even when there might be sessions that feel heavy, and make you look at the things that you have been avoiding for a while, just know that I am holding your hand through it with the goal of creating more healing and happiness in your life.

I want all of my clients to know that I am truly passionate about seeing them thrive, and nothing makes me happier than seeing them live their best lives.
