Professional statement

Cadence Chiasson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Morrison, CO. She is from the Boston area originally , spent a few years in Scottsdale, AZ and is also licensed in Massachusetts and Arizona, working with clients located there via telehealth.

Cadence particularly enjoys working with women, especially women who are in the habit of placing their needs, desires, and ideas behind those of others. Many of Cadence’s clients suffer from anxiety, with symptoms like panic attacks, overwhelming stress levels, inability to connect with other people, frustration with the self, and negative self-talk. Cadence helps her clients to take a look at their everyday patterns and to make healthy changes.

Cadence’s approach to therapy focuses on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Though known for the treatment of trauma, Cadence also utilizes EMDR to help alleviate anxiety, depression, and to gain self confidence and increase their sense of self worth. This therapy modality helps clients put traumatic memories and overwhelming emotions behind them so that they can move ahead in their lives.

Cadence earned her Master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and an undergraduate degree from Ithaca College. She is passionate about providing mental health support for those who need it and has practiced across many different mental health settings. She wants to empower her clients to put themselves first and to prioritize their wellbeing.

Message to clients

I am so glad you are here, seeking to find relief and perhaps start putting your own needs first - maybe for the first time. I truly love my work and feel honored every day that my clients trust me to hear their thoughts and struggles, some of which they have never stated out loud before.

Talking to an unbiased, outside person about your thoughts, worries, irritations, fears, past trauma, and more can be as freeing as it is scary. Whether you've been in years of therapy or this is your first time, I'd be glad to see how I can help guide you through to the next phase of your wellbeing and beyond.

I only work with individual female identifying clients aged 15+ as I have found that is who I do my best work with, and I want every client to have the best possible therapy experience.

Please reach out if you have any questions at all or would like to go ahead and get started on this path to wellness.

Warmly,

Cadence
