Professional statement

Caitlin is a former athlete turned Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in New York. She works primarily with millennials and college students who are seeking support for anxiety, racing thoughts, feeling overwhelmed or stuck, ADHD, and prior traumatic life experiences. The day-to-day grind can leave us feeling stuck, anxious, and alone. Caitlin helps clients understand their experiences, disentangle their thoughts, learn to cope with their stressors, resolve any past traumatic experiences and increase their self-esteem and self-love along the way. Her sports background has led to her having a methodical, goal-oriented, results-driven therapy style.

Together, your work with Caitlin will help you navigate through difficult emotions and feelings while learning to recognize and change negative thought patterns. You will gain the ability to feel comfortable and confident with yourself, increase your ability to cope with your stressors, communicate with others, and improve your relationships with others. This process will happen in a safe, judgment-free space. Life does not need to be overwhelming. Having the right support can make this a time in your life of self-growth and personal betterment.

Caitlin's work combines interventions from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy. She pulls from different theories based on her client's needs, preferences, and goals.

Caitlin takes a warm and collaborative approach to therapy. She understands the importance of creating a safe, judgment-free space to navigate the challenges in your life. Together, your work with Caitlin will move you through feeling stuck and overwhelmed while gaining insight, awareness, and self-compassion for yourself.

Caitlin has an online therapy practice. She offers virtual video sessions to help make therapy more accessible. Caitlin also offers her clients the first session for $80, so they can get to know her before committing to her full fee.

Message to clients

Sometimes the things we're experiencing or have experienced become too difficult to manage on our own. Struggling with anxiety, racing through, trauma history, life transitions, people-pleasing tendencies, boundary setting, and difficult emotions can disrupt our lives. These patterns and tendencies often lead to anxiety, depression, struggling to connect with ourselves or others, and burnout. Our work together will teach you new coping skills, change your ways of thinking and relating to others, and resolve any past traumatic experiences that might be leaving you feeling stagnant, overwhelmed, or less connected to yourself or others.

Starting your therapeutic journey can feel vulnerable and difficult! My goal is to create a space for your vulnerability and to work collaboratively with you in making the most of our time together in helping you achieve your therapy goals. I’d love to connect and discuss what you’re looking for from this experience and how to best support you on this journey. Send me an email and we can schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation.
