Professional statement

At Novo Counseling and Wellness, Caitlin's approach to therapy is one that is warm, welcoming, and educational. Novo is the Latin word for "renew, refresh, and revive" which has become the moto for Caitlin and her practice. She focuses on teaching you how to access your internal resources which will allow you to effectively navigate the challenges of your day to day life. Caitlin also focuses on helping you to identify and heal the root causes of your distress using evidence based methods such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy). Through years of experience and extensive knowledge of a variety of counseling approaches, the body, and the brain, Caitlin can help you find what you will need to improve your mental health at your pace. Her approach to therapy is one that is holistic and self-empowering, taking into account how your experiences throughout your life have contributed to the symptoms and behaviors you are struggling with in the present. Caitlin will help you learn to utilize your strengths and build the confidence to take on life's stresses both big and small.

Message to clients

It is important to me to meet you where you are in your process, whether you have been in therapy before or this is your first time. We will imagine together where you want to be at the end of this process and create clear goals and a path forward to get you there. Remember that "hope is the only thing stronger than fear," if you find yourself hopeful for a better tomorrow, don't hesitate to reach out for your free consult call so we can see if working together is what it best for you. I see adults age 18+, individuals and couples, and offer both virtual and in-person appointments to suit your preference. I am happy to offer morning and evening appointments, Monday through Thursday, to accommodate your schedule to the best of my ability.
