Professional statement

Caitlin Rosengarten (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in New York. She helps clients across a wide range of life situations, mental health conditions, and life goals. Many of her clients want to learn more about themselves and understand how they came to be the way that they are; others seek relief from excessive worry, sadness, restlessness, or frustration. Caitlin helps clients break unhealthy habits and stop ruminating on painful memories. Clients leave feeling more balanced and in touch with their emotions. Caitlin has extensive experience treating complex trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety.

Caitlin takes a present-focused, strengths-based, relational approach to therapy. She begins with increasing self-awareness by encouraging clients to identify their thoughts and feelings, as well as their physical sensations. She helps clients understand their readiness for change and break harmful thought patterns that often lead to self-criticism and low self-worth. Caitlin tailors treatment for each one of her clients to offer them individualized, effective healing.

Caitlin earned a BA in Psychology from NYU and an MSW from Hunter. She has a post-graduate certificate in advanced clinical practice from NYU and completed three years of institute training at Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy. She has nearly ten years of experience supporting clients and helping them find the pathway forward in their lives.

Caitlin sees clients via telehealth on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
