Professional statement

Caitlin is a Marriage and Family Therapist located in South Riverside County, CA. Caitlin works with adults, young adults and teenagers (13+) who struggle with mood disorders like depression or anxiety. They often feel like they can’t manage their emotions, whether that’s excessive crying or angry outbursts with loved ones. Sometimes, they feel emotionally exhausted, whether that’s from trying to manage their mental health or from trying to manage a chronic health issue or ongoing relationship conflict. Caitlin helps those whose mental health is exacerbated from trauma, validating their feelings and giving them useful tools to bring into their daily lives.

Caitlin’s therapy approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) from the standpoint of a relational oriented therapist who takes into account the whole persona and an attachment based lens. Clients learn more about how their thought patterns influence the way that they seek themselves. Caitlin also shows them the connection between their thought patterns and how they interact with other people, which can be helpful in reducing harmful behavioral patterns. Caitlin’s warm and caring style leads clients to feel comfortable talking openly about their lives. Once trust is built, Caitlin helps clients find effective coping strategies to implement in their routines.

Caitlin earned a Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. She has training in EMDR and is a trauma-informed therapist. She previously worked with adolescents on the Autism Spectrum through Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA).

Message to clients

I understand just how hard it may be to reach out and ask for help. How much we may try to do things on our own, knowing we want someone to listen and help; to not judge us. I hope that I can help you reach any goals that you have for yourself and be that hour a week for you to unleash and be yourself. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you.

My personal experiences have provided me with valuable insights and empathy that I bring to my work as a therapist. I connect with my clients and understand their unique challenges, as I have personally navigated similar experiences. This allows me to guide clients toward healing with a sense of compassion and understanding. I hope to empower my clients to understand that they are not defined by their traumas or life situations and help them navigate the journey toward healing and their goals.
