Professional statement

Caleb Valentin is a New York City Native Mental Health Therapist located in Bushwick, Brooklyn. He has experience working with both younger (6-17yrs) clients as well as older (18+). He specializes in working with clients navigating challenges such as trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, academic challenges, career goals, stress management and life transitions.

Caleb’s approach as a therapist is to provide an honest, thoughtful perspective and embrace the strength and resiliency that make you who you are, all while keeping you in the driver's seat. He is dedicated to providing an LGBTQIA+ affirming space where one is encouraged to explore themselves free of judgement. He hopes to provide therapy that not only affirms oneself but also challenges you when needed while providing the necessary tools for you to feel confident moving forward.

Mr. Valentin’s draws experience from a number of offices such as Safe Horizon, United States’ largest non-profit victim services agency, where he woked as a Clinical Forensic Specialist helping child victims of physical and sexual abuse. He also has worked with Hunter College and Staten Island Technical High School to provide academic assistance and career counseling for both adolescents and adults.

At this time, he is only available remotely. He appreciates your patience at this time and welcomes any consultation appointments you may wish to make.

Message to clients

You are the author of your own story, and you deserve to bring that story to its fullest potential. Whether it’s unpacking your past or moving forward with your best self, we all just want to live our most authentic lives. My hope is to work together to understand the story that you want to tell and provide you with the tools to execute it.

There will be bumps along the way, but my job is to help provide you with a warm, empathetic space where you can explore and gain the confidence you need to accomplish any goal you set your mind to.
