Asking for help is a complex skill many of us are not taught growing up. It can be even more difficult for those struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges and for those who have been disappointed by others in the past. You may wonder if there’s any possibility for relief or change. Whatever brings you to therapy, rest assured that I will respect and honor that courage in a caring and empathic environment.
I am trained in a variety of modalities and work primarily from a psychodynamic approach. I am curious about how our early experiences and beliefs continue to show up in our daily lives. We will work together to understand these insights in a way that can lead to meaningful change in your everyday life and relationships.
We are strongly affected by the systems in which we live, and practicing without a sense of how we are influenced by class, race, and gender makes for an incomplete picture. I welcome individuals of queer experience and those who may be navigating nontraditional relationship structures or chosen families.
