Professional statement

Candace was born and raised in South Dakota. She currently makes the Northern Rocky Mountains in Wyoming her home. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping individuals and their families navigate through mental illness(es) and the societal stigmas that can come with mental health concerns. Additionally, in her free time, Candace enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, downhill skiing, yoga, baking, gardening, preserving food, and most importantly being around those that she loves.

Candace serves those who are reaching out for help regarding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) throughout all areas of life, anxiety, stress management, depression, emotional regulation, anger management, impulsive behaviors, adjustment concerns, personality disorders, substance abuse, and Military PTSD. Candace is heavily specialized in working with those who suffer from PTSD and how it can impact one’s life mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Candace attended the University of South Dakota for her undergrad and Walden University for her graduate degree. Candace has an array of knowledge after working with individuals and groups in an inpatient and residential treatment programs. Candace is passionate about providing a patient-centric approach within a therapeutic relationship.

Reaching out for help can be hard. I am passionate about providing a patient-centric approach within a therapeutic relationship and has experience with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), online Executive Functioning Training, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Goals-based therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and assertive communication training.

I serve individuals of all ages who are seeking help for help regarding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) throughout all areas of life, stress management, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, emotional regulation, assertiveness training, impulsive behaviors, ADD/ADHD, defiance concerns, adjustment concerns, personality disorders, and Military PTSD.
