Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, MA Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, APCCCarissa Lataillade is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT#123114 located in Santa Clarita, CA. Carissa works with clients who feel unbalanced, overwhelmed, or confused about an area in their life. Many of Carissa’s clients feel like they aren’t doing “enough” despite leading full, productive lives. This leaves them unsure about what needs to change, only a sense that they can’t keep going this way. Carissa also helps clients who have difficulties in their relationships or issues stemming from anxiety or depression.
Carissa’s approach to supporting clients is strengths-based, which means that she helps clients identify their unique strengths and leverage these strengths to reach their mental health goals. She also takes a cultural lens to working with clients, respecting and incorporating the identities and backgrounds of each client. Clients learn about their core values and how to bring these values to the forefront of their daily routines. Carissa also utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy approaches to help clients manage their emotions.
Carissa earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Her goal is to help clients see their stories from new perspectives, perspectives that are compassionate and kind. She is passionate about helping clients reach a greater level of insight about their lives and relationships.
