Carmel is a licensed social worker holding Master’s degrees in Social Work and in Education. Carmel helps clients navigate the stressors of life, including life transitions, anxiety, relational issues, grief, and trauma. She has specialized training in trauma informed therapy as well as in perinatal and postpartum mental health. Carmel is particularly passionate about supporting those experiencing reproductive trauma (infertility, birth trauma), attachment trauma, or navigating a life transition. Carmel draws from different theoretical perspectives to help her clients meet their goals and ultimately, heal. The theoretical orientations she uses most often include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and attachment and strengths based therapy.

Carmel is available for telehealth sessions and sees clients located in Massachusetts.

I use evidence-based methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), strengths-based therapy, and other tools tailored to your individual needs. My goal is to help you build a stronger connection with yourself, regain control over your life, and nurture a sense of safety, empowerment, and hope.
