Caroline Glidden
She/Her/Hers
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFTShe/Her/Hers
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFTCaroline is passionate about providing individuals, couples, and families with the support they need so they can overcome life’s challenges, including difficult or traumatic experiences. Many clients hold onto grief associated with their trauma, and find themselves dwelling on their memories and emotions throughout the day. Caroline also works with clients who want to gain the skills to increase their self-esteem, confidence, and healthy boundaries to work through the difficulties of life transitions.
Caroline is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She also utilizes different therapy modalities that help clients achieve their goals. She creates an environment during her session where clients feel safe, and never pushes clients to talk about memories that cause distress. She teaches clients how thought patterns can influence emotions and behaviors, and encourages them to break harmful thought patterns. When appropriate, she offers clients differing perspectives from which to view their situations, which can help them break out of their regular thought patterns, especially those that cause low self-esteem. When working with couples, she utilizes the Gottman Method, a commonly used couples therapy modality that emphasizes the role of emotions in building healthy interactions.
Caroline strives to empower clients to make healthy changes in their lives and in their relationships so they can feel more at ease with their emotions. She is a nonjudgmental, compassionate therapist who supports clients as they work through their mental health journeys.
