Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW Practice: Resilience LabCassandra is a Licensed Master Social Worker based in Manhattan, NY, who is dedicated to offering support to adults, adolescents, and children who feel overwhelmed by life’s various obstacles. Many of her clients struggle with trauma, relationship stress, and life transitions that have manifested through low self-esteem and symptoms of depression and anxiety. These challenges often make clients feel lost, and Cassandra believes that therapy can be a great starting point for drawing a new and improved roadmap.
Cassandra’s approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and client centered. She will always do her best to meet the client where they are at. The therapeutic relationship is sacred to Cassandra, and her goal is to create a space for her clients to feel safe, understood, heard, and supported. Cassandra recognizes that her clients are the experts on their own lives, and thus she aims to reflect an unbiased and empathetic perspective to further empower her clients to capitalize on their strengths and find meaning among the chaos. Dependent on the individual’s needs, Cassandra might incorporate other modalities as she sees fit, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, narrative therapy exercises, mindfulness practices, and otherwise.
Having worked with performing artists, adults switching careers, and teens and young adults growing into their authentic selves, Cassandra fosters an environment for self-discovery and expression. Cassandra believes that when passion, humor, and creativity are incorporated into sessions, it can truly nourish the therapeutic space and thus the client’s potential.
Cassandra strives for her work to be as inclusive and intersectional as possible; she is happy to work with anyone who is open to the therapeutic process. She is currently available to provide remote sessions as to maintain everyone’s safety.
