Professional statement

Cecelia's approach involves gaining a true understanding of each client's individual needs and tailoring the therapy style and techniques that will most benefit the client. She works with teens and adults. She views clients as partners rather than patients. She takes a team approach to help clients reach their goals and realize their potential. Cecelia has been a school counselor, a private practice therapist, an Equine Assisted Therapist and owner of a private practice. She now works mostly virtually but maintains an office in Cornelius, NC for in person one day per week.

Message to clients

I believe clients have the innate ability to heal and move forward. Clients can expect a comfortable, safe environment where they can explore their values and goals as well as develop self awareness which is critical to making changes that we want in our lives. You can expect a warm, caring approach with a touch of humor. I work through the lens of attachment believing early life experiences play a role in how we relate to others and how we see the world.
