Professional statement

Celeste is a licensed and board-certified creative arts therapist, working with adults of all ages in the New York City area since 2016. Celeste's clients have been able to address a variety of life challenges and build deeper insight into their mental health and overall wellbeing. Many of Celeste's clients express a desire to bring more balance into their lives, identifying that they find success in one area of their life but continue to struggle in others. Celeste works to help her clients better understand how to break out of cycles and overcome obstacles, emotionally and otherwise.

Celeste practices in a client-centered manner, collaborating with her clients throughout their time in therapy. Her style is open and nonjudgemental, using both insight-oriented and skills-based approaches. Celeste integrates several clinical models in her practice, having been trained in art therapy and verbal therapy techniques, trauma-informed care, and several evidenced-based practices including CBT and motivational interviewing.

Celeste has received her MPS in art therapy from the School of Visual Arts in 2016. Since then, Celeste has been working in an outpatient substance misuse program for adolescents and adults of all ages, and in private practice. Through her clinical experience Celeste has specific skills to address substance misuse, but she has also engaged with individuals facing varied issues such as depression, anxiety/panic, relationship challenges, trauma, LGBTQIA+ concerns, life transitions, and more.

Celeste is currently based in northern Brooklyn, right on the border of Queens, but is holding exclusively Telehealth sessions at this time. Celeste hopes to have in-person appointments in the near future.

Message to clients

No matter where you are in your life, therapy is a way to alleviate stress and build clarity about your feelings. My goal is to collaborate with you to gain insight, build effective coping skills, and get in touch with your intuition. Whether you've had therapy before, or if you want to try something new, it can be difficult to start. I know many people find it hard to meet a therapist they click with, but it is important to me that you feel comfortable and safe in the therapeutic space. I work from a trauma-informed perspective to sensitively help clients better manage symptoms that result from deep rooted emotional patterns. I aim to be open-minded and flexible as we work towards your goals, so we can move forward in your therapy at the pace feels best for your growth. In our work together I hope you can find a nonjudgemental space to express yourself and strengthen your ability to feel grounded and secure.
