Dr. Blaney works with a variety of adult clients to focus on improving health, quality of life, relationships and overall well being with the use of evidence based practices (such as CBT and ACT). she works with clients on skills to improve perspective, communication, clarify goals and work towards behavior change. She is a Clinical Psychologist with strong focus on motivation, health promotion, and health behavior change. Dr. Cerissa Blaney received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island with a focus in Health Psychology. She completed an APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Pre-Doctoral Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University with a focus in Behavioral Medicine and Primary Care. Currently she works part time at Brown Physicians Inc and holds a clinical faculty appointment at Alpert Medical School of Brown University in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. Dr. Blaney works the rest of the time at her private practice which is conducted via Telehealth only (even when the pandemic is over).
