Professional statement

Chantel Windy is a certified clinical trauma professional, and clinical social worker who is committed to helping individuals feel empowered, confident, and hopeful again. Her client's are curious, insightful, and motivated for change but often are held back by painful experiences of the past. Chantel helps her clients explore the impact of their lived experiences, while gaining a better understanding of themselves and their emotional responses.

Chantel's clients often find themselves navigating feelings of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness which impact their relationships and overall functioning. Chantel helps her clients explore the root of these issues as well as how they might be presenting in the body. Chantel helps you to gain knowledge about yourself, your responses, while also teaching you tools to cope. Each session with Chantel is tailored to you as an individual, and no two sessions are the same.

Chantel's therapeutic approach is rooted in the mind-body connection, and she draws from training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as number of other evidence based strategies that promote healthier ways of managing life's challenges.

Chantel is committed to creating space for you to bring it all to the table without judgement. Chantel offers the flexibility of remote therapy sessions, meaning you can bring therapy with you no matter where you are in the state of Michigan. She welcomes all people to join her in finding empowerment, confidence, and hopefulness.
