Chantelle Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in New York, NY who welcomes individuals, couples, and families into her therapy practice. She supports those who face stress, trauma, and relationship challenges, as well as those seeking greater meaning in their lives. Many clients begin therapy to actively combat intense feelings of worthlessness or grief, as well as those who are part of the LGBTQ community and/or those who identify as BIPOC.
Chantelle’s approach to therapy draws from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. This evidence-based therapy modality helps clients overcome painful memories from trauma and the related symptoms, including feelings of panic or anxiety when these memories arise. By learning to reduce the emotional impact of these memories, clients can engage in daily life without worrying about losing control of their feelings. In addition to EMDR, Chantelle utilizes psycho-spiritual techniques for a holistic approach that encompasses clients’ minds, bodies, and spirits. She guides clients through contemplative practices that increase self-awareness and clarity, and integrates feelings of safety, security, and connection into conversations.
Chantelle earned a Master’s degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Her goal is to help clients find healing and transformation in their lives by working through the closely held patterns that leave people stuck or disconnected so they can live deep, fulfilling lives.
