Professional statement

Chelsea Green is a Licensed Therapist in private practice based out of Charleston, SC with a focus on individual adults, couples, and families who are seeking relief from anxiety, depression, stress, burnout/overwhelm, and trauma. Chelsea offers an eclectic and holistic therapeutic approach to help clients resolve relationship issues, unburden from complex/generational traumas, learn coping skills such as mindfulness, and build resilience in the face of hardship and stressors. Her clients can expect a present-focused mind-body approach, building skills to regulate the nervous system and calm the mind, as well as alternative therapy modalities like family/systemic constellations, which help place individuals within the context of their family and cultural system. Overall, Chelsea strives to provide a systemic perspective on mental health symptoms and relationship dynamics.

She currently sees clients online and in-person with appropriate Covid-19 safety precautions; her office is located at 1 Carriage Lane in West Ashley, Charleston, SC.

Additionally, Chelsea offers a 90-minute monthly group in Charleston, SC, known as Community Constellations, in which clients can expect to gain perspective on family relationships, trauma, guilt, freedom, choice, and more. Informed by Family/Systemic Constellations, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, these groups are a great compliment to one's healing journey, but are not a substitute for therapy or for any other form of professional consultation.

Message to clients

Are you feeling stuck? Or, like you're living out a script that keeps repeating itself? Have you noticed that dynamics from your family or past keep showing up in your relationships, at work, or as barriers to your goals? If this sounds familiar, you might be looking for clarity into how these patterns continue to re-emerge in your present life. This is where my therapeutic approach may be a helpful intervention; exploring the past to make sense of the present, for the possibility of a better future.

The present is all we have, so we might as well work with it. Yet, there are times when our present experience can only be understood by looking at our past. My hope for you in our work together is that you find clarity and capacity to move more freely in the world and less bound by the burdens of your past.
