Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider, BC-TMH Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsChenelle Ellie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Silver Spring, MD. Chenelle is an expert at supporting clients whose mental health holds them back from engaging fully in everyday life. Often, her clients arrive at therapy absolutely fatigued from their depression or anxiety. They feel like their loved ones don’t understand how they feel and why it’s so hard for them to excel at work, friendships, relationships, or personal goals. They also don’t feel like they can turn to these loved ones for support, leaving them feeling isolated. Chenelle provides a warm, caring space where clients can talk about what’s going on for them and how they want to improve their mental health.
Chenelle is a down-to-earth therapist who enjoys bringing humor, sarcasm, and laughter into sessions. While holding space for the discomfort and pain coming from depression, anxiety, or trauma, she empowers clients to move forward in their lives and make positive change. Chenelle teaches clients how to identify the negative thought patterns that lead to low self-esteem and relationship conflict. She also teaches clients how to incorporate self-compassion into their weekly routines, which can look like visualization practices, daily affirmations, or taking a strengths-based lens.
Chenelle earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore. She has nearly ten years of experience working with clients across a wide range of life situations and settings. She enjoys working with clients who describe themselves as “people pleasers” and “worriers,” as she helps them break free from difficult habits so they can live the life they envision for themselves.
