Professional statement

Hi, I’m Dr. Chet Lesniak, a licensed psychologist offering telehealth services in 38 states through PSYPACT. I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, helping them navigate a wide range of mental health challenges, life transitions, and the everyday obstacles that can get in the way of happiness.

Many of the people I work with are carrying a lot — stress, anxiety, loneliness, fear — and often feel like they’re just trying to make it through the day without ever really getting a chance to exhale. I create a space where you can finally take that deep breath.

My approach to therapy is personal and tailored. I know that healing looks different for everyone, so I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches depending on your unique needs. These include contemplative and psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and more. Together, we’ll set meaningful goals for your mental health and take steps toward those goals at a pace that feels right for you.

I earned my PhD in Psychology from New York University and have worked in clinics, schools, and hospitals. My style is practical, down-to-earth, and grounded in real connection. I truly enjoy supporting people as they move toward greater peace, clarity, and fulfillment — and I’d be honored to be part of your journey.

Message to clients

Life can be challenging, and we all face moments when we feel overwhelmed — whether it’s stress, anxiety, loneliness, conflicts, or questions about work and career. I work with people navigating these struggles, as well as those going through major life changes like shifts in health, career, or relationships. Whatever you're facing, I'm here to walk alongside you as both your guide and your advocate, helping you move toward the version of yourself you want to be.

At the core, I believe we all want the same thing — to be happy. My goal is to help you live a life that feels full, authentic, and meaningful. I take an individualized approach to therapy, tailoring our work to what best supports you. I also draw from Buddhist psychology, if that’s something you’re open to exploring.

My style is practical, down-to-earth, and grounded in genuine connection. I’ll work with you to clarify your goals, overcome obstacles, and find more ease and joy in your everyday life.

If you’re curious about how we might work together, I’d love to offer a free consultation. Let’s connect — I look forward to hearing from you.
