Professional statement

Chris takes a more proactive approach to mental health, believing that if practiced consistently, and not just when struggling, people experience greater well-being. It is with consistent action over time that people can begin to face their challenges and learn to cope with them and in turn, live a more fulfilling life.

Chris loves mindfulness as an emotional management tool, Cognitive Based Therapy to improve resilience and self-esteem, and also likes Internal Family Systems and EMDR. Talk therapy is his primary intervention as expressing one’s self is essential to opening doors to healing and moving forward from the past and the here and now.

Chris works with adults of all ages. Working with Chris, you will build emotional intelligence, resilience, and acceptance. You will learn about life balance, healthy relationships, mindfulness, and strategies to manage whatever you may be facing such as anxiety, resentment, feelings of not good enough, people pleasing, increasing self-esteem, and other challenges in your journey.

Office is located in the William Building, that is part of the St. Francis complex. Address is 6585 S. Yale Ave., Suite 340, Tulsa, OK 74136

Message to clients

I seek to establish a very relaxed environment when working with clients. I am very laid back and that definitely comes across in my communication style. I believe that when we take ourselves so seriously all the time, we create an immense amount of pressure in our lives, though in our personal lives, there is a balance. I can help you find your balance.

When we base our goals on our values, and work towards them one step at a time, we will experience greater well-being in the process. Consistent action over time is the way to get the results you seek. Following a one step at a time philosophy, we can gain self confidence, build resilience, and increase learning by practicing the tools and skills needed to get to where we want to be.

In our first session, as we get to know each other, we will discuss your desire to seek counseling, establish your goals, and talk about your strengths and ways we can utilize those on your journey.

Having worked in several different industries in my life, I have always had a counseling type role in whatever it was I did. I love this role, and so with that experience, I chose to become a therapist because I love working with people and helping them to better their lives in the ways that are important to them.
