Professional statement

I bring 25 years of diverse experience as a therapist working with individuals, couples and families providing treatment for a wide array of mental health issues. I am a humanist by nature-the therapy I practice is grounded in the belief that each of us possess the necessary resources within ourselves to attain contentment and a sense of well-being.

Whether your struggles are individual in nature, or you are part of a dysfunctional couple or family relational dynamic, I am well equipped to assist in bringing problems to resolution and healing. I bring a deep level of expertise working with trauma, abuse, and self-esteem issues, along with the related anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders that many people face. The treatment methods I rely on provide clients with effective methods of overcoming and resolving difficulties.

The therapeutic approach I use depends on client needs, goals and personal preferences. I have extensive training & 25 years of practice using Internal Family Systems Therapy. I enjoy the depth and efficiency this approach brings to client's experience of themselves; I have seen remarkable healing and transformation occur for many clients using this approach. Humanistic and person centered/ non-judgmental philosophies make up the core elements of my disposition as a therapist.

Good therapy is about mutual trust and respect at its core. I am committed to being flexible and adaptable to client's personal goals, to help maximize the positive benefits experienced in therapy. I offer both in-person and virtual visits, and provide services to all ages, including children!
