Dr. Christine Cantner is a Clinical Psychologist in Morristown, NJ who specializes in gender and sexuality, adolescent mental health, body image and eating disorders, self-injurious behavior, anxiety, and depression. She has extensive experience working with teens, especially those who identify as LGBTQIA. She is passionate about working with the full range of human experience and has experience treating suicidal ideation and severe and persistent mental illness. She welcomes all genders and races.
Dr. Cantner’s treatment approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies that focus on behavioral changes, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices. She also utilizes psychoanalytic therapy when appropriate.
Dr. Cantner wants all of her clients to feel supported and understood, and she is always wiling to help them no matter what challenges they are facing. Before starting her private practice, Dr. Cantner worked at a residential treatment center providing therapy for adolescent girls. Prior to that, Dr. Cantner worked with adults at several hospitals and outpatient clinics throughout the New York City area.
