Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, LICSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSWChristine Martin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Dallas, TX, fully licensed in New Jersey, Florida, South Carolina, Washington DC along with Texas. Christine enjoys helping people find genuine happiness in their lives. She often works with clients who turn to unhealthy habits in place of happiness, struggling to find a way to feel energized and excited without drugs, alcohol, or toxic relationships. Christine also supports clients who feel overly anxious or depressed, which holds them back from finding joy in their lives.
Christine’s approach to therapy begins with a thorough assessment of the client’s background, situation, social support networks, symptoms, and what they hope to get out of therapy. From this assessment, Christine collaborates with the client to find a treatment plan that feels comfortable and will help them reach their goals. Christine provides a safe space for clients to talk about their lives and discover the root causes of what’s happening for them. She practices Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and cognitive behavioral therapies. Clients examine their values and determine how closely they’re living to these values. When they’re ready, Christine helps them make healthy changes so that they can live closer to their values and what’s important to them. She also helps them identify negative thought patterns that hold them back.
Christine earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Monmouth University. She has nearly 15 years of experience helping clients find solutions to their problems and overcoming feelings of sadness, loneliness, fear, or frustration. Clients leave therapy with Christine with the coping skills they need to cope with distress as well as a positive direction to continue going towards.
