Professional statement

Claudia's approach to healing is focused on guiding clients to enhance their self-awareness around the way they speak to themselves, how they view themselves, others and the world around them. She makes space for processing, reflections, and provides a non-judgmental environment to guide clients in looking into themselves with kindness and curiosity. She is skilled in breaking down thoughts, processing feelings, and guiding clients in examining their behaviors in a way that is gentle and feels safe. She provides education as needed to help the people she serves understand what they're going through and improve well-being. She has worked with people who experience various levels of anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.

Message to clients

Young adults have the hard task of adjusting and readjusting to changes and transitions. Sometimes it is this period that feels the most grey and all over the place with decision-making, relationships, career choices, and the unknown. Together we will unpack the feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that impact daily living and examine your self-talk with curiosity. We will discover your strengths and unique qualities to help foster and work toward balance, self-acceptance, and healthy well-being.

Honesty, communication, and empathy are important factors in the therapeutic relationship. I strongly value the therapeutic relationship; I think this helps in creating acceptance and self-compassion. I honor individuality, cultural beliefs and values, and all identities. It is important for me that my clients feel seen, heard, and welcomed. I believe in self-discovery/rediscovery and that people already have the qualities they desire to live a fulfilling life. Sometimes it takes pacing, reflecting and processing, and learning to apply the tools to work towards mental, physical, and emotional well-being. I acknowledge the "isms" that stem from various external factors and how this also shapes our mindset, core beliefs and how we view ourselves and others. It is also important for me to continue to empower my clients in overcoming or breaking the "isms" in their lives.
